24 June 2008 - 8:11I Heart the DMV

Bet you never expected to hear that. But two-plus years after the overhaul of SC’s DMV, the changes persist. I walked in today with a license that had split into pieces (apparently this is common) and walked out with a shiny new one within about 5 minutes. Loved it. Good client service equals respecting time and reducing bureaucracy, we say.

24 June 2008 - 7:45Giving Back - the update

Rather than send booze or food for the holidays last year, we honored our clients by joining Donors Choose. This terrific non profit has miniscule admin fees, and enormous impact. On behalf of Touchpoint clients, we adopted three classrooms at high-need schools throughout South Carolina. Some received books. Others received notebook paper (!!!) and others received Time magazine, opening their eyes to the big old world. Here are just a smattering of the photos and thank you notes they sent. We truly got a bit misty! Thanks, everybody, for being a part of this!

1 June 2008 - 9:55Folbot’s “Cooper” gets incredible Canoe & Kayak review

Canoe & Kayak recently reviewed Folbot’s best-selling Cooper model. Folbot is an American folding kayak manufacturer based right here in Charleston, SC.

“A good choice for the paddler looking for long, multi-day excursions down gentle rivers or placid lakes. With its easy acceleration, speed, stability, folding camp chair seat, and being a dream to pack, even a novice would feel perfectly secure taking a long and winding trip and not worrying about having to keep up with the group on or off the water.”

“Great-looking boat-in-a-bag with a straightforward assembly and quick and easy gear loading.”
